Ty Schwab, Founder and Senior Consultant

Ty Schwab is the founder of Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and a senior consultant, working with clients to assess, design, plan and implement emerging technologies including; application virtualization, server and storage virtualization, and streaming. Mr. Schwab specializes in virtualization technologies, computer and network security, computer user training and policy and procedure development. He is the lead consultant on designing the Virtual Test Lab Environment and ensures that on-going maintenance is completely satisfactory for each client. Mr. Schwab's combination of technical skills, customer service and support expertise and technical writing abilities, offer relief to clients facing today’s IT challenges. Prior to Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, Mr. Schwab founded Fire Dragon Air Defense, a computer and network security consulting business which supported dozens of clients in the government, education and business market sectors.

Mr. Schwab graduated from Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon with an AAS in Network Operations, Programming, and User Support. Mr. Schwab also holds industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, CISSP and Red Hat Linux.

Alison Russom, COO/CFO

Alison Russom is responsible for Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLCs day-to-day operations, including consulting strategy, partner management, strategic, tactical, and short-term operations management. Ms. Russom is also responsible for the performance of Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLCs businesses, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by the executive management team of Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and for maintaining an ongoing dialog with the executive management team. Ms. Russom also has the added responsibility of representing Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC to its partners, city, government, regulatory authorities, the media, customers and the general public.

In addition to Ms. Russom’s duties as the Chief Operating Officer, she serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC. Her responsibilities as the CFO are to oversee all company accounting practices, preparing budgets, financial reports, and tax and audit functions. Ms. Russom is also responsible for directing the companies financial strategy, planning and forecasts, supervises investment and the raising of funds for the company.

Ray Ochoa, Senior Consultant

Ray Ochoa, a senior consultant for Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, is primarily responsible for building and installing emerging technologies. Mr. Ochoa specializes in training businesses and IT staff on the procedures and use of emerging technologies, as well as asset management. Prior to joining Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, Mr. Ochoa worked for Lane County Information Services in Eugene, Oregon, as an Information Services Analyst. There he specialized in application virtualization technologies and was primarily responsible for implementation, IT staff training, and putting into effect, policies and procedures for self-sustaining IT teams.

Mr. Ochoa was also responsible for asset management of The County’s hardware, software and peripheral equipment. Mr. Ochoa graduated from the Heald School of Business and Technology in Milpitas, California with an AAS degree in Computer Technology with an emphasis in PCs and hardware

Shane Peterson, Senior Consultant

Shane Peterson, a senior consultant for Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, is primarily responsible for working with clients to assess, design, plan, implement and support emerging technologies including; packaging and deploying virtualized applications, server and storage virtualization solutions and streaming solutions. Mr. Peterson specializes in virtualized Windows Operating Systems; Win 95/98/Win NT 4.0/Win 2000/Win XP/Win 2003, virtualized business applications; Microsoft Office 2000/XP/2003, process and product management and virtualization hardware and infrastructure design. Mr. Peterson is the lead consultant for designing and packaging virtualized applications and virtualized OSs and ensures that on-going maintenance of virtualized applications and virtualized OSs is completely satisfactory for each client. Mr. Peterson's combination of technical skills, customer service, business backup and continuity and support expertise, offer relief to clients facing today's IT challenges. Prior to Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, Mr. Peterson was an Information Services Analyst for Lane County, Eugene, Oregon and a System Administrator for Lockheed Martin in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mr. Peterson graduated from the University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Colorado with a B.S., in Information Technology Network and Telecommunications and graduated from Clark College, Vancouver, Washington with an A.S., Associate in Arts and Science “Mechanical Engineering focus". Mr. Peterson also holds an industry certificaticate from CompTIA.

Michael Gillette, Senior Consultant

Michael Gillette is a network and web security professional who has joined Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Computer Crimes division. Mr. Gillette is a Senior Consultant with Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and brings over 13 years of computer and network security expertise, teaching and research. Mr. Gillette works with our clients to assess, design, plan and implement virtualization technologies and to effectively assess and evaluate the security implications of virtualization technologies. Mr. Gillette specializes in virtualization technology security policies, practices and tools and how to effectively implement those policies, practices and tools for our clients.

Mr. Gillette was the head of computer crimes for the state of Oregon FBI for 10 years and has recently left to work with Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC and his own network security consulting business. Mr. Gillette was also an expert witness for a number of network security and information theft trials. Mr. Gillette holds numerous network security certifications, including, CISSP, CISA, SCP, CCNA, CCSP and CompTIA Security+.

Darin Roberts, Senior Consultant

Darin Roberts, a Senior Consultant for Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC, is primarily responsible for working with our clients to assess, design, plan, implement and support our storage virtualization solutions and DR/BC solutions. Mr. Roberts specializes in Storage Area Networks (Sans) engineering and architecture of multi-vendor products for small to medium sized businesses, government, and health care and education storage systems. Mr. Roberts possesses an in-depth knowledge and installation experience of Storage Area Networks(SANs) using multi-vendor systems, including, EMC, HP, Dell and NetApps. Mr. Roberts works with our customers to define requirements for hardware/software systems/architecture and helps evaluate performance, integrates hardware units and interconnection of units, implements test plans and handles design documentation while working as a member of the Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC Professional Services Group and DR/BC Solutions Group.

Mr. Roberts graduated from Cal Poly Tech with an Bachelors degree in Network Engineering in 1996 and went on to work for the University of Texas at Austin as a SAN administrator. Mr. Roberts left the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 to start his own SAN consulting business and joined Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC in April of 2007. Mr. Roberts holds certifications in SNIA, CSDE and Sun Network Administrator.

David Greer, Senior Consultant

David Greer, a Senior Consultant at Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC is primarily responsible for working with our clients to assess, design, plan, implement and support their data center consolidation and virtualization solutions. Mr. Greer has over 12 years of Network Operations Center (NOC) administrator experience in both the private sector and the government sector. Mr. Greer has helped both businesses and government agencies to monitoring data center server system alerts and monitoring server system performance, resolving server downtime incidents in a clear and timely manner, creating/terminating user accounts on both Windows Domain Controllers and Linux Domain Controllers, developed and maintained current systems documentation/drawings and was the lead administrator for two fortune 500 companies DR/BC centers. Mr. Greer has an extensive knowledge of Unix Operating Systems, Windows NT/2000/2003/2008 server Operating Systems, Red Hat Linux server, AIX and Sun Solaris server systems. Mr. Greer works with our server consolidation and virtualization solutions clients to define requirements for hardware/software systems/architecture and helps evaluate performance, integrates server and data center hardware units, implements test plans and handles design documentation while working as a member of the Blackhawk Technology Consulting LLC Professional Services team.

Mr. Greer graduated from Purdue University with Bachelors in Computer Engineering in 1993 and went on to work for several small data center hosting companies before starting his own consulting business. Mr. Greer holds certifications in CCNA, Red Hat Linux Administrator, MCSE and Sun Administrator.
